A CULTURAL PROPOSAL We propose a revival of the Ancient Olympiad - a 4 years cultural celebration that will begin in 2001 and culminate with the Games of the 28th Olympiad in 2004. The four year Olympiad will take place in locations of major Olympic symbolic significance such as Delphi, Epidaurus, Ancient Olympia, Nemea, the city of Marathon and the Panathenaic stadium. The cultural programme will include among others, Olympic art, coin and philately exhibitions, concerts, lectures and discussions, ancient drama and comedy, and an international cultural competition. Invitations to attend the cultural events will be extended to Members of the IOC, NOC's, International Sports Federations and athletes from all over the world.
