Meeting of the Alternate Foreign Minister, Mr. Christos Rokofyllos, with the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ismail Cem (Strasbourg, 3.11.1999)

The Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Christos Rokofyllos, represented the Greek Government at the 105^th Session of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, which was held in Strasbourg on November 3-4,1999.

In the framework of the Session, Mr. Rokofyllos had a meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mr. Ismail Cem. The discussion, carried out in a friendly atmosphere, focused on Greek-Turkish relations and on the Cyprus issue. The Greek Alternate Foreign Minister stressed the need for continued efforts towards further, substantial improvement in bilateral relations and in the prospects for a just and viable solution of the Cyprus issue.
