Kranidiotis on G8 agreement - 8.5.1999 Budapest

Alternate Foreign Minister Yannos Kranidiotis yesterday in Budapest called the G8 agreement a major step toward the road for a diplomatic solution to the Kosovo crisis.

Addressing the European Council foreign ministers meeting, Mr Kranidiotis expressed a hope that there be “will on the part of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic to cooperate with the international community toward a peaceful solution to the issue.

In Budapest, Mr Kranidiotis yesterday met with Russia’ s Alternate Foreign Minister as well as the FMs of Albania and FYROM.
