LIBRARY

The Library of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was established in a effort to provide information and research facilities to the diplomatic corps and the employees of the Ministry. The library has approximately eight thousand historical monographs in its collection, a great number of which are old and rare. It is also regularly updated with foreign and Greek publications on matters of domestic and international policy.

Today, the library constitutes a section of the Service of Historical Archives. The library has a collection of rare volumes (1) and a remarkable collection of Greek and foreign volumes. This collection is divided into five categories :

At present, the library is being reorganized in order to provide a better service to the interested readers. Additionally, the creation of a computerized database is currently in progress.
