The Inhabitants participate in the preparation of Thessaloniki for 1997 by:

Voluntarily offering to work.
Participating in keeping the city clean.
Restoring their houses.
Informing and mobilising people in their environment.
Participating in the events which take place.
Showing understanding for the problems caused to the city by the execution of the publc projects.
Offering every assistance to the OCCE.
Informing their children and urging them to participate in the efforts by the OCCE.
Informing and inviting friends from Greece and foreign countries.
Rendering every service to the visitors of the city.
Living in expectation of the great event and planning to participate in the cultural/artistic events of 1997.

The OCCE is restoring and redecorating 60 traditional buildings on Egnatia St and Kassandrou St.

The National Bank offers low-interest loans with a fluctuating interest- rate for the restoration of the fronts of buildings and their embellishment,which can cover up to 100% of the cost.

Receiving information,responsibly,by the OCCE on every matter that concerns them.
Co-operating with the OCCE for the improvement of the services offered.
