This was founded in 1978 as a non-profit-making educational organization, in order to provide the public with the necessary environment for an understanding of technological achievement.
It comprises two exhibitions areas:
A. Technology, including exhibits and multimedia information systems on the subjects of Telecommunications, Automobiles, Railways, Space, Photography, Radio, Navigation Technology, the Textile Industry, the History of Industrial Development in Thessaloniki, and so on.
B. Techno-Park, with a variety of interactive exhibits. The visitor can participate by working them and therefore comprehend, in a visual and recreational manner, natural laws and phenomena.
The Museum arranges guided tours and demonstrations, organizes occasional exhibitions, issues relevant publications, has set up a Creativity and Innovation Centre, organizes conferences and promotes its instructional character through events aimed at students of primary and secondary education.
