This will be accommodated in the listed building erected in 1904, at the junction of Venizelou and 13, Ayiou Mina St.

This imposing building, right in the middle of the commercial centre, survived the 1917 conflagration and has since housed the Bank of Attica and the press offices of the French-language Jewish newspaper "L`Indépendant".

In the Museum there will be exhibits of religious and ceramonial character, ethnographic material (utensils, costumes) and historical documents (newspapers, photographs and out of print editions).

A specialized library, radio, film and television archives, a collection of Sephardic popular songs and accounts by survivors of the holocaust, other existing archive material, plans and prints of monumental buildings, synagogues, settlements and old maps will also be available.

For 1997 in particular, the Museum will arrange the display of "Memorias" (Memories), an exhibition of Thessaloniki to be transferred from the University of Bar Iian, Israel.
