6th Hellenic Conference of Virology

The Hellenic Society of Virology is pleased to announce the 6th Panhellenic Conference of Virology from March 15th-17th, 2001 at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, Vas. Sofias Ave. 127, Athens 115 21. The conference will host lectures from distinguished scientists from Greece and abroad, oral presentations as well as round-table discussions on matters of basic and applied virology which are of interest to medical doctors, veterinarians, agricultural scientists, biologists and biochemists.

 Each speaker will be allowed 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. Standard slide and overhead projectors will be available to the speakers. Slides should be prepared so that they are readily visible by the entire audience, and should be provided to the Conference Secretariat before the opening of the corresponding session.
 

Presentation Abstracts

Abstracts for each presentation (oral presentation, lecture or round-table discussion) should be prepared according to the following instructions and sent along with the registration form, to the Conference Secretariat by January 15th, 2001. Abstract receipt will be confirmed by the Secretariat; if no confirmation is received, authors are kindly requested to contact the Secretariat directly. Abstracts will be printed prior to the conference in order to be available to its participants.
 

Guidelines

Georgia Christodoulopoulou Award

In memory of Georgia Christodoulopoulou, the Hellenic Society of Virology proclaims the Georgia Christodoulopoulou Award for original research in the general field of Virology. Research papers submited for candidacy to this award must conform to the specifications described in the Call for Papers as published in the Journal "Hellenic Virology", Volume 2, Issue 2, 1997, Page 79, and should be submitted to the Conference Secretariat by January 13th, 2001.

Conference Events

Registration

The participation fee for the Conference is 15,000 GRD and is due upon registration. Students may attend the Conference without a fee; however, if they desire to obtain the Conference publications, a nominal fee of 5,000 GRD will be requested.

 The registration fee covers attendance to all scientific and social sessions of the Conference, as well as a copy of the Abstract Book and the issue of the Journal Hellenic Virology in which the full research papers will be published.
