"The feast-day of Panagia Poulariani" 8th of September ANALIPSI

"The feast-day of St Demetrios" 26th of October ANALIPSI

"Cultural Evenings" Summer ASTIPALAIA The Cultural Society organizes events with the local performing and the dance groups, throughout the summer. The events include theatrical performances, music nights and dance, wearing the local costumes.

"Feast of August 15th" 15th of August ASTIPALAIA The most significant feast of Astipalaia, takes place at Panagia Portaitissa. The evening before, the locals have a grand feast on the yard of the church called Rodia, while, the following day, the people roast lamp, outside the church.

"Koukania" 16th of August ASTIPALAIA The day following the celebration of Virgin Mary, the Municipality organize swimming championships and the “giaourtotaisma” takes place. According the this custom, people try to feed each other, blind-folded.

"Litany of Portaitissa and St Anthemos" 4th of September ASTIPALAIA The icon of Portaitissa and the hand of St Anthemos are transferred to the Town Hall and from there to the house of “giortastis”, en elected man who pays expenses for the feast which follows.

"Feast of the Saviour" 6th of August LIVADIA All the tourists are invited at this celebration, where the villagers dance the local dances under the sounds of the traditional instrument players.

"The feast-day of Agios Pandeleimonas" 27th of July LIVADIA The event is celebrated at the village with traditional dances from the local dance groups.

"The feast-day of Thomas" First Sunday after Easter VATHI
