Of the main six Ionian islands Paxi is the smallest. It is 10 km. long and 4 km. wide but full of impressive white boulders, beautiful beaches, small coves and sea caves. The capital Gaios at the east side of the island is a a picturesque village with traditional houses and narrow streets. At the nourth lies the seaside village of Laka which is build on a bay whose coasts are covered with olives and pines. Paxi is a peaceful and quiet island ideal for relaxing vacations.
