SRPSKO GORAZDE - RS vicepremier and president of the Com- mission for Demarcation between RS and the CroatMuslim Federa- tion, Velibor Ostojic, assessed that the Muslim part of Gorazde has no development potential. While a guest with the Serb Radio, StudioGorazde, Ostojic pointed out that a part of Gorazde is in a common slumber, without any perspective for the future, which even the Muslim authorities in Sarajevo realise.

SOKOLAC - RS vicepremier Milomir Draganic, the minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, and the deputy minister for trade, Marko Cicovic, talked in Sokolac with local businessmen about the problems this municipality is facing. One of the most urgent problems in the Sokolac area is the water supply.

SARAJEVO - Today's RS Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) board meeting focused on creating favourable security conditions for the September 14 elections. The meeting was attended by IPTF, IFOR and OSCE representatives. RS internal minister Dragan Kijac, acquainted the representatives of international organisations with the "Harmony '96" plan, for operative measures and activi ties of the ministry for safe and secure elections.

SARAJEVO - RS foreign minister Aleksa Buha, talked in Pale with Britain's ambassador to Sarajevo, Charles Crawford, about the implementation of the civilian part of the Dayton agreement. The participants at the meeting did not make a statement but, as SRNA learns from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, numerous meet ings between the British ambassador and the RS leadership are expected in the future.

BANJALUKA - President of the RS National Assembly, Momcilo Krajisnik, and presidential candidate of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) Dragoljub Mirjanic, are expected to talk in Banjalu ka with local businessmen.

SOKOLAC - More than 40 persons have in the last few days asked for medical aid at the RS Army Hospital and at the local clinic, because of difficulties in breathing, irritation of mucous membranes and the upper digestive tract, caused by the serious air pollution. A great concentration of toxic agents in the air over Sokolac - a city known for the greatest concentra tion of ozone in Europe - is being directly connected with the destruction of munitions from the VRS warehouse in the village of Margetici, near Sokolac. The Army Hospital's ear/nose/throat specialist, Dr. Slado Turuntas, said in a statement for SRNA that a number of patients complained of "feeling nauseous, vomiting diarrhea, headaches, and others of general weakness and acceler ated heart beating".
