TIRANE, Nov 28 (ATA)-President of the Republic Rexhep Meidani on Saturday greeted the people on the occasion of the Independence Day and enforcement of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.

At a reception extended at the Palace of Brigades on Friday evening on this occasion Meidani greeted the participants and compatriots wherever they are on these two significant events.

"As Head of the Albanian State and citizen of this country today I am, with mind and heart, in every Albanian hearth and family, wherever the brilliant memory of coryphaei of independence is evoked, wherever the red and black flag of the National Holiday flutters to wish "A happy holiday" to all," said Meidani in his speech.

Further on, Meidani, concentrating on the Constitution of Albania said among other things that:"Today, precisely on the Day of Independence, I turned into law the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, based on the will of the legitimate parliament and of the people who took part in the referendum of November 22."
