Majko considered indispensable the presence of NATO in the region and said that this was proved not only during the conflict in Kosova, but also now that NATO is being considered a guarantor of stability.

"The presence of the international factor and of NATO in the region is a reason which offers optimism. In this context, Albania and the Albanian factor in general in the region, will continue to influence in the stability of the entire region," said Majko.

Albanian PM stressed the importance that the implementation of the Stability Pact has for the region, because in essence it implies establishment of clear ties of communication between the countries of the region. "Important is that the formulae which would influence in the protection of the stability in the region be identified in face of the formulae that generate destabilisation," said Majko.
