    According to RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI, president Emil Constantinescu received the ex-sovereign Michael I and Queen Ana at Cotroceni Palace on Sunday, the second Christmas day. King Michael expressed his joy at celebrating Christmas in Romania, and said that, following his many discussions with the citizens, he was fully confident in the country's prosperous future. In his turn, president Emil Constantinescu wished King Michael and Queen Ana a merry Christmas and a happy new year, and shared the sovereign's faith in Romania's destiny. RADOR

    [02] Romania's Patriarch Pleads for Ecumenical Reconciliation

    During the Holly Mess celebrated on Sunday at the Archiepiscopate Cathedral in Targoviste, Romania's Patriarch Teoctist underlined the climate of spiritual rebirth and national reconciliation, and the fact that the Romanian people finally rejoined the other European nations on their common way. According to the patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, quoted by RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI, on entering the new millennary the Church should no longer act at parish level, but should develop a theology of ecumenical reconciliation.     [03] Church Dedication Service at Salistea Sibiului

    The Orthodox majority of Saliste, the ancient administrative centre of Marginimea Sibiului, attended on Sunday the Big Church dedication service. As RADIO ROMANIA ACTUALITATI reveals, the church is a Romanian historic, architectural and religious monument from the second half of the 18th century. RADOR
