SARAJEVO - The vicepresident of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic, summoned the ministers to a government session to call for their cooperation following her taking over presiden tial functions. While pointing out that the Dayton agreement implementation is the priority task of the RS state leadership, Plavsic stressed the necessity of the effective functioning of all ministries, especially the ministries of internal affairs, justice and the ministry for refugees and displaced persons.

SARAJEVO - The RS Government began its session, under the chairmanship of the RS premier Gojko Klickovic, to consider a draft law on the return of once confiscated land, and a proposal for amendments to the Law on the rights of soldiers, disabled veterans and the families of fallen soldiers.

SARAJEVO - The RS prime minister Gojko Klickovic protested Carl Bildt's office's decision to allow the Muslims to repair 20 houses weekly within the Serb part of the zone of separation in the Brcko area. At the July 3 meeting of the Regional Joint Commission for the NorthEast, the reconstruction of 20 houses a week in the villages of Omerbegovaca, Brod and Dizdarusa was decided to start on July 8. Klickovic says that the regional Commission made the decision without obtaining the consent of RS representatives, and that he is worried that this conclusion might be valid in the whole of the former B-H territory.

NOVI SAD - The high representative of the international community Carl Bildt, confirmed that the position of party's president does not represent a public political function. "Polit ical parties are not public in the sense of institutions. This position in dominant in the western world, and from the legal point of view the situation is clear", stated Carl Bildt in an interview for Nasa Borba.

DOBOJ - The Doboj opposition paper Alternativa reveals that at the opening of the bridge on the Usora River, on July 5, the Muslims from Tesanj beat up two of the paper's journalists. The paper says that a group of differently dressed young Muslim men - calling themselves "Gazijas" (heroes) - beat the journalists Bosko Jelic and Aleksandar Sakota.

VLASENICA - U.S. colonel John Battista, IFOR Second Brigade combat group commander, stated that the multinational units did not on July 6 in HanPijesak intend to arrest the Serb Army HQ commander general Ratko Mladic. "The only task we had on July 6 in HanPijesak was to persuade the Serb Army to remove the heavy arms around HanPijesak which were not brought to the designated arms collection sites", stated colonel Battista.

KOTOR - VAROS - A statement by Muslim Army commander Rasim Delic that the Mujaheddin military camp in Podbrijezje was dis mantled and the Islamic warriors returned to their respective countries, is a pure lie, reported the Croat Radio HerzegBosnia this morning. The radio's commentator claims that the largest portion of the Mujaheddin, who took the B-H citizenship and who are working mainly as instructors, are the main buttress of the Muslim military.

KOZARSKA DUBICA - On St, Peter's Day, Patron Saint's day of Kozarska Dubica and the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), a meeting of support for the RS president Radovan Karadzic and the RS Army commander general Ratko Mladic will be held in Kozarska Dubica.

BEOGRAD - The Serbian Radical Party (SRS) assessed Croatian president Franjo Tudjman's statement that the Serbs will not be allowed to return to their homes in Croatia as "an indication of the real nature of the neofascist regime in Croatia". "This statement also underscores the hypocrisy of Tudjman's masters, who consider the eradication of the Serbian people as a whole as merely a democratic solution to the problem", says a communique.
