SARAJEVO - Vicepresident and acting president of Republika Srpska (RS), Biljana Plavsic, stated today in Pale that an agree ment was reached with NATO representatives, which opens the way for the further implementation of the Dayton agreement. After the meeting with NATO secretarygeneral Javier Solana and NATO su- preme allied commander George Joulwan, with the presence of the RS National Assmelby president Momcilo Krajisnik, she said that the talks were very concrete, and added that "when problems are approached in this way, there are good chances to be resolved".

SARAJEVO - Vicepresident and acting president of Republika Srpska (RS), Dr. Biljana Plavsic, stated this evening that RS must quickly find a capital which will make the reconstruction of the state possible. Plavsic specified that the funds, coming from the various sources, must be used in dealing with problems of refugees. She assessed that the elections, scheduled for Septem ber 14, will be decisive.

SARAJEVO - A press release by IFOR ground forces commander, general Michael Walker, concerning the incident in Han Pijesak, says that his troops are going to inspect military facilities again today, since their intention is that "IFOR troops go wherever it is necessary for them to perform their tasks". Walker said that last Saturday the Army of the Republika Srpska (VRS) did not allow IFOR to inspect facilities which are a part of the complex of buildings of the VRS HQ in Han Pijesak. "The VSR should not doubt IFOR's mandate for conducting all inspections necessary, and which it will accomplish under conditions of its own choosing", says Walker in his announcement.

BIJELJINA - Deputy minister for refugees and displaced persons in RS, Slobodan Ecimovic, talked in Bijeljina with the city officials of the improvement of work of the Ministry's office in the city. The Bijeljina Municipal Executive Board president, Svetozar Mihailovic, stressed a need for as faster organisation of support to refugees as possible.

PRIJEDOR - The president of the Prijedor Municipal Board of the Serbian Patriotic Party, Ranko Kaurin, stated that the RS must remain a state, for it is in the interest of the Serbian people, especially those who have fought for it.

PRIJEDOR - The Athens MilosevicTudjman meeting is seen by the Prijedor branch of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) as a "expected and understandable move as a part of a process of the establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries", with a remark that any recognition of B-H prior to elections, would be premature.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) for HerzegBosnia, Bozo Rajic, accused the Muslim of vio- lating the newest agreement on Mostar, and protested the decision of the Provisional Electoral Commission not to hold September elections in this city. Croatian Radio says the Agreement, was signed on August 6, "with a great concessions made by the Croa tian side", but that the Croatian officials do not accept the new calls for a session of the City Council, scheduled for August 14.
