NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The Republika Srpska (RS) Government is having its sixth session which agenda includes, among 18 items, a draft for Republic budget.

MOSCOW - Moscow's mayor, Jury Luzkov, announced that the Dayton agreement "is not for the Serbs". After his meeting in Moscow with the RS delegation, he pointed out that "Russia has not taken a firm stance regarding the Peace Accords". "We will change this trend in order to regain our lost authority and strength", stated the Moscow's mayor.

BANJALUKA - The Association of Families of Imprisoned Serb Soldiers, sent a letter to EU president Leny Fisher, warning that the Federation of B-H is in breach of the Dayton Agreement, concerning the POWs release. In the name of its 20,000 members, the Association, with the seat in Banjaluka, requires this issue be revealed to EU members.

DOBOJ - The Association of Families of Imprisoned and Missing Persons, sent an appeal for release of all imprisoned, and accelerated dealing with the issue of missing persons, whose fate has not been known since the last year, i.e. Muslim military offensive on the Ozren-Vozuca front.

BEOGRAD - The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) is ready to annul the local elections and organise a new ones which could be held in March, when the republic elections could also take place.

BEOGRAD - In the clashes between police and members of the opposition, 58 persons were seriously injured, reports Radio-B- 92.

NOVI SAD - A large number of participants of the demonstrations "For Serbia" who came from Novi Sad by busses, were stoned by members and supporters of the Coalition "Together".

BEOGRAD - A delegation of Serbian students announced, after holding a meeting with president of the Montenegro Assembly, Svetozar Marovic, that Marovic supports their protests against the election results.
