NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - Due to the national holiday of Portugal, a reception for a delegation of Republika Srpska, which was led by the minister for civilian affairs and communications in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Spasoje Albijanic, was organised at the Portugal Embassy to Sarajevo. Along with the Portugal Ambassador, Anthonio Tangera Coree, the reception was also attended by diplomatic representatives of several European states and Canada. The readiness for offering help to RS in relieving consequences of her unequal treatment in comparison to the Federation of B&H on the matter of the allotment of the international economic aid was expressed during the reception. The meeting was also attended by the co-chairman of the Council of Ministers of B&H, Boro Bosic.

SARAJEVO - The minister for civilian affairs and communications in the B&H Council of Ministers, Spasoje Albijanic, talked in the Sweden Embassy to Sarajevo with the Sweden minister of internal affairs, Pierre Skory, on the progress of the implementation of the Dayton Agreement made so far. After the meeting, Albijanic assessed that Skory got acquainted fully with the state of affairs in RS and the FB&H, convincing himself of the difficulties impeding the full implementation of the Dayton Agreement.

NEVESINJE - The RS Government is going to offer help for the building of the necessary infrastructure facilities, as well as for the launching of production in the Municipality of Nevesinje, this was stated at a meeting of a delegation of the RS government and leadership of the Municipality. The Prime Minister Gojko Klickovic, who led the RS delegation, stressed that the Municipality of Nevesinje will be included in the RS programmes after a Donors' Conference.

SARAJEVO - The RS premier Gojko Klickovic convened a session of the Cabinet for June 11th. The four projects for the building of about 700 housings and the repairing of some 500 houses intended for residents in and returnees to Brcko will be on the agenda of the session. Several Bills are also expected to be discussed at the session.

SARAJEVO - The minister for refugees and displaced persons of Republika Srpska (RS), Ljubisa Vladusic, talked in Pale with William Montgomery, a special advisor to the US president on the implementation of the Dayton Agreement in regard to the repatriation of refugees. They also talked about a Donors' Conference scheduled to take place in Brussels, on June 24 and 25.

SARAJEVO - The Serbian Orthodox Church in the former B&H is founding itself in a very difficult position, concluded His Holiness Zvornicko-tuzlanski Bishop, Vasiliye as a guest with the Serbian TV. The RS minister of religion, Dragan Davidovic, warned at the dangerous effect of religious sects and the necessity of resisting their expansion to the Orthodox lands.

ROME - The general public attorney of The Hague Tribunal, a Canadian, Louise Arbour, lodged an appeal against the judgment made by the Tribunal, which holds Dusan Tadic responsible for the alleged war crimes. The Hague Tribunal proclaimed Dusan Tadic guilty of 13, out of the 30 crimes he was accused of. The chief prosecutor of The Hague Tribunal submitted this appeal also because Tadic was proclaimed guilty of so many crimes and she believes that he is innocent.

HAGUE - The OSCE Electoral Commission prolonged the deadline for the registration of refugees from the former B&H, who are presently living abroad, to June 14, the AFP cites the Holland Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the announcement, this extension should make it possible for some 800,000 refugees from B&H to participate equally at the elections.
