LONDON - U.S.A. are give up the idea of the nuclear strategy from cold-war time, which means leading long-term war until the final victory, and have decided upon the transition on strategy of nuclear deterrence and restraint - writes "Daily telegraph". The new strategy, as well as until now, enables them to act first in order to protect America and its allies, while old stance towards Russia, as the source of threat, remains furthermore, because the targets remain Moscow as well as significant Russian military and nuclear objects. The target of the new U.S.A. military strategy are so called "hostile countries", which produce weapons for mass destruction.

TEHERAN - The spiritual leader of the Islamic Republic Iran ayatollah Ally Hamnei opened in Teheran the Eight summit of the Organisation of Islamic Conference, at which participate 55 member states and which will last until 11 December - reports DPA. IRAN wishes at the conference to break down the U.S. attempt of isolating Teheran and to reconciliate the Arabic world and in accordance to the model of EU found the joint Islamic market. Besides that, they will discuss also about the peace process in the Middle East and situation in Iraq.

BONN - After presentation of German minister of the Foreign Affairs Klaus Kinkel, which was characterised as the interference into the inner affairs of Republika Srpska /RS/, its representatives warned that, in case of continuation of such pressures, they will leave the Conference in Bonn, - report agencies. Kinkel said that the international community will provide B&H with aid only under the condition that "its representatives are ready for reconciliation and cooperation". The first incident at the conference occurred when the representative of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/ Dragomir Vucicevic, the political director in the ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejected Kinkel's requirement to initiate the negotiations between authorities of FRY and Albanians from Kosovo.

BELGRADE - The RS senator Milivoje Ivanisevic stated in Belgrade that "at the conference of the Steering Board of the Council for implementation of peace in B&H in Bonn the RS delegation may expect a new escalation of pressure with a purpose of depriving it of its stateship". "The pressure on RS may be expected in all fields - from sport, police and arming up its armed forces, to the right of the state to decide about its officials" - said Ivanisevic in his statement for SRNA. According to assessment, "the will of the people in RS means nothing, which is showed by the last parliamentary elections, is not worth anything, if it is not at the same time the interest of the International Community, i.e. USA".

BRUSSELS - The Belgian paper "Morgen" is informing about conclusions of analysts who think the official division of B&H into three or two countries could be put into effect at the Bonn conference. Their assumption is based on the fact that common solutions about the passport and car registering plates were not found, and the issue about return of refugees has not been solved too.

ATHENS - The International Community exceeded in the former B&H all rules of democratic behaviour which are standard in the civilised world - is assessment of the delegate of the Greek Communist Party Stratis Korakas made after he returned from RS where he was an observer at the parliamentary elections. In the interview for the paper "Risospathis" he is not hesitating to openly call NATO forces, which are in RS for the sake of peace keeping, occupying forces, first of all because they took over transmitters of Serbian Radio-television, depriving a larger part of RS citizens of the basic right to be informed and to publicly come out with an opinion, which had an effect on the elections.

SARAJEVO - The President in the B&H Presidency Kresimir Zubak accused the Muslim for patronising the unique B&H openly, thinking at that time about unitary state, which would function on the principle "one man - one voice" - report independent media in Sarajevo. Zubak before going to Bonn said that Muslim as federal partners have not defined their political goals to Croats yet and warned that Croatian party is ready to talk about finishing of Dayton Agreement, but only under the condition that Croats would be in absolutely equal position as other nations.

PARIS - The Parisian "Figaro" conveys the statement of the French minister of Defence Alain Richard that "French soldiers will not appear before the International Tribunal for war crimes in the region of former Yugoslavia and Rwanda". "Rising up against the way of work of the Hague Tribunal, Richard thinks that it was not possible for French generals to take all responsibility for international operations" - writes "Figaro". According to the same source, France deems that the Court in Hague, which raised indictments against Serbian leaders Radovan Karadzic and general Ratko Mladic, "is one theatrical justice".

TEHERAN - The Iran spiritual leader, ayatollah Ali Hamnei, who according to the Iran Constitution has higher function than the president of the state, in the introducing speech at the summit of the Organisation of Islamic Conference emphasised that in this time Islamic world have to be more active and take initiative in its hands. According to him, the status quo in the Middle East and "continual Zionist aggression in the heart of Islam should not be tolerated any longer".
