NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BIJELJINA - Representatives of the Clubs of parties' representatives in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS) are talking in Bijeljina about the composition of working bodies of the Assembly. Consultations are being attended by: Nemanja Vasic, representing Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), Mirko Blagojevic, representing Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Svetozar Mihajlovic and Milenko Djokic, representing Serbian National Union (SNS) and Mile Mirkovic, representing Socialist Party (SP) of RS. The representative of the Coalition for Complete and Democratic B&H is absent.

SARAJEVO - The Co-president of the B&H Council of Ministers Boro Bosic wished all orthodox believers a happy Christmas and New Year's holidays. In his greeting card Bosic greeted all members of the Orthodox church with traditional Christmas message "Mary Christmas!"

BIJELJINA - Payment of unpaid salaries of employees in education is the basic prerequisite, which has to be satisfied by the RS Government, so that the second semester in primary and secondary schools would begin on January 20 - is concluded at the meeting of representatives of educators and Municipal Assembly of Bijeljina.

BANJALUKA - The member of the Main and president of the Municipal Board of SDS of Srbac Milos Milincic supported at a press-conference in Banjaluka the forming of legislative and executive authority and the election of the RS Government's mandatory, pointing out at the necessity of respecting the results of the parliamentary elections.

SARAJEVO - The High Representative of the International Community Carlos Westendorp issued an order that the airport in Mostar, which is under Croatian control, should be opened for civilian traffic - report media in the Federal part of Sarajevo.

BIJELJINA - The Secretary General of the former convocation of the Republika Srpska (RS) National Assembly Staka Gojkovic stated that deputies of presidents of representatives' clubs in Bijeljina have agreed about the number of members of municipal commissions, and they also have proposed candidates for the commissions, as well as their presidents. According to her, this agreement will serve to the presidents of the representatives' clubs and the president of the former convocation of the National Assembly Dragan Kalinic as working material for preparatory meeting for continuation of the First Constitutive Session of the Republican Parliament.

DOBOJ - The representative from RS in the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly Vojislav Radiskovic thinks that "revision of the Dayton Agreement is leading toward abolition of RS stateship and its drowning into the unitary B&H".

NEW YORK - The Hague Tribunal for War Crimes in Former Yugoslavia and Tanzania Court in Arusha, formed for the trial for war criminals from Rwanda are not legitimate - passed a judgment the Texas Court. "These courts are not legitimate, and the agreement between them, which is also anticipating the extradition of persons who have been indicted is unconstitutional", passed the judgment the judge Marcel Knutson. It is being precisely said in the judgment that the extradition, according to the international law, is possible only between countries which have officially signed bilateral agreement which, when it is about America, has to be approved in the Senate.

VUKOVAR - From the beginning of voluntary surrender of weapons in Eastern Slavonia (from December 27 until January 01) citizens have surrendered about 165,000 pieces of munition, 970 hand grenades, 42 kg of explosive and 388 rifles - has been reported to SRNA from Transition Police Forces.

PRISTINA - Holy Bishop of Raska and Prizren Artemije and the president of Serbian Movement of Kosovo Resistance (SPOK) Momcilo Trajkovic called Serbian people to "gather into national and democratic movement", expressing fear of " new national treason, similar to the one in Krajinas".
