SREBRENICA - Two members of American crew of an SFOR helicopter which had crashed about 12,30 pm near Srebrenica have been one slightly, and the other seriously injured. The accident occurred in the moment when the helicopter was flying low over a group of residents of Srebrenica who had been protesting against the arrival of representatives of the Municipal Assembly from B&H Federation in this town, and then it grazed with its propeller wire cables on the long-distance power line.

BIJELJINA - The president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NS RS) Dragan Kalinic announced after consultations with representatives of parliamentary parties' representatives' clubs that election of a president and members of RS Government would be on an agenda of assembly's session on January 17 in Bijeljina too. Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) was represented by Aleksa Buha, Coalition for Democratic and United B&H Safet Bico, Serbian National Union Svetozar Mihajlovic, Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Pantelija Damjanovic and Socialist Party of RS Zeljko Mirjanic.

BANJALUKA - If the proposed mandatory for composition of the new Government Mladen Ivanic does not reach an agreement with representatives of SDS and SRS, RS president Biljana Plavsic will appoint instead of him the president of Party of Independent Social Democrats Milorad Dodik. As SRNA learns from sources close to the Cabinet of RS President, there is possibility that Dodik will present programme and composition of the new Government already at the next session of the Assembly in Bijeljina.

BANJALUKA - The International Community High Representative Carlos Westendorp stated in Banjaluka, after talks with RS president Biljana Plavsic, that "appointment of the new Government is the greatest priority of NSRS at next session in Bijeljina." "At the last session it could have been noticed that some members of NS tried to use the strategy of postponement", Westendorp said, warning that " this strategy will not be tolerated at tomorrow's session."

SARAJEVO - The General Director of Serbian Radio-Television (SRT) Miroslav Toholj forwarded a letter to NS and RS Government in which he is informing about current covering of RS with SRT signal and possibility of watching live broadcasting of assemblies' sessions. He rejected as disinformation claims of SFOR spokesman Luie Garno seceded SRT studio and some NSRS representatives at the session from January 12 that whole RS is covered with direct radio broadcast and telecast of Assembly's session.

BELGRADE - Leader of Serbian Movement of Resistance in Kosovo Momcilo Trajkovic stated for SRNA in Belgrade that consensus is a great plus for Serbian political scene and that he hopes it would psychologically have positive influence on Serbs in Kosovo, who are frightened and feel abandoned. "His Highness Bishop of Raska and Prizren Mr. Artemije and I are satisfied with talks, because we have managed to gather the greatest number of participants, who have expressed similar points of view about question of Kosovo and Metohija", said Trajkovic.

BELGRADE - The Chief of SDS Office of Serbia Mirko Jovic stated in Belgrade that the international community had to understand that there were political groups in Serbia which were capable to ensure its interests in these regions, at the same time protecting interests of Serbian people. "We should not test our military and police force in a clash with some scraped Albanian police and paramilitary police forces, because all historical, democratic and state arguments are in our hands", Jovic assessed.

BELGRADE - Serbian Renewal Movement supported in a Serbian- Serbian dialogue about Kosmet, held in Belgrade, return of Albanian pupils and students to school and establishment of autonomy of Kosovo, named "Old Serbia".

BELGRADE - An academician Nikola Milosevic stated in Belgrade that Serbian authorities could not solve problem of Kosovo using force and that USA would make a final decision on that subject.

PODGORICA - The Montenegro President Milo Djukanovic, who stopped performing a duty of the Prime Minister after he had been appointed as president, will start consultations with representatives of parliamentary parties about the candidate for the new prime minister, and according to unofficial information it should be the Minister of Internal Affairs Filip Vujanovic.
