BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska (RS) President Biljana Plavsic expressed hope that on the forthcoming elections in September in RS would win an option that supports state institutions. "State institutions must work" - said Biljana Plavsic in an interview with the Serbian Television. Speaking about spirit of the Dayton and strict holding to its regulations Plavsic said that "preferring the spirit of the Dayton Peace Accord can be very dangerous because different variances and visions can occur what is not the case with the 'letter' of the Dayton Accord".

BRCKO - Supervisor for the region of Brcko Robert Farrand warned Muslim returnees that in Brcko they could return only according to the regulated Procedure, which means in empty or destroyed property. "Keeping in mind that there is a lack of the alternative lodging temporary users who live in Brcko will not be dislodged unless they use more than one property or in the case that they don't have a place to go", said Farrand for SRNA.

BANJALUKA - The Republika Srpska (RS) President Biljana Plavsic said that model for opening of RS and its cooperation with the world means nothing else but the international affirmation of RS as the B&H entity. People in RS accepted the Dayton Accord and through it they want to join the Europe. In an interview with "Oslobodjenje" President Plavsic assessed as groundless and unacceptable simplified accusations that the international investments in RS came as a result of selling of Serbian people interests.

BANJALUKA - On the invitation of the Slovenian Ministry of Science and Technology, RS vice-president Dragoljub Mirjanic went to Velenje where on July 1nd and 2nd he will participate the International Conference on distance learning in RS and FB&H. Along with this subject, which will be held by experts from Russia, the U.S. western Europe countries, Mirjanic will attend a round table discussion on the subject "How to help RS and FB&H in the field of education".

DOBOJ - The RS Internal Affairs Minister Milovan Stankovic said in Doboj that he did not understand why he should give his resignation because the RS Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) "operates entirely as an unique legal mechanism with all forms of the modern police. Regarding these rumours he said "they are plain misinformation released by those who built their political marketing in this way".

AMSTERDAM - Belgrade's lawyer Toma Fila along with Slavko Dokmanovic's brother and a son arrived to the Hague to take over the body which will remain in the hospital until the autopsy and the final report by the forensic medicine experts. Until final conclusion of the inquiry by the Tribunal team and the Holland police there will be no official statement on the case.

PRISTINA - During the attack of Albanian terrorists on the village of Drsnik in the Klina Municipality last night at 8:00 p.m. Grujica Smigic ,26, has been killed, SRNA has learned in Klina. According to the same source groups of Albanian terrorists attacked this village with mortars and automatic weapons.

VIENNA - The Association of Yugoslav and Serbian clubs in Austria forwarded a letter to Austrian President Tomas Clestil, a chancellor Victor Klima and the OSCE chairman Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Bronislav Geremek in which they demand for crisis in Kosovo to be solved in a peaceful manner.

AMSTERDAM - Spokesman of the Holland Ministry of Development and Cooperation Adrian Meserschmidt confirmed for SRNA that Holland approved help in goods amounting to $U.S. 429,000 for food, clothing and hygienic packages for refugees from Kosmet.

BANJALUKA - German Government envoy for refugees Dmitar Schle announced after talks with the Republika Srpska (RS) President Biljana Plavsic that German Government would finance several projects of renewal in RS i.e. reconstruction of housing units, schools, kindergartens and health institutions. "Along with this organised return of refugees to RS will be taken into consideration" said Schle adding that he had talks with Biljana Plavsic on economic cooperation between RS and Germany. He announced soon arrival of a high economic delegation to Banjaluka.

SARAJEVO - President in the B&H Presidency from RS Momcilo Krajisnik wished during farewell visit of the British Ambassador to B&H Charles Crawford many success in his future political engagements and new duties in British diplomacy. Krajisnik thanked him for a great help during implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord especially emphasising its engagement in overcoming of difficult and complex problems.

BANJALUKA - A work group for trade which includes representatives of the RS and FB&H Trade and Finance Ministry and OHR were discussing interentity trade and regulations from the field of fiscal policy. Adviser for economic affairs in the OHR office in Banjaluka Paul Benergy said at the press- conference that the group "has a task to bring into accord and to make regulations for establishing of a unique economic market". The RS Minister of Finance Novak Kondic said that a while ago a work group was formed for trade between RS and FB&H in order to bring into accordance economic conditions.

DOBOJ - The RS Internal Affairs Minister Milovan Stankovic said in Doboj that the RS National Assembly would have to asses the RS police reconstruction Memorandum which he got from the international organisations to sign. Stankovic said that he did not deny need for an agreement itself but "in the Annex 4, Article 3, paragraph 2 and 6 is said that entities can make interstate and international agreements but with special consent of the Parliament".

BANJALUKA - Arrival of the "Cambridge University Press" in RS means that Europe comes to RS - said the RS Minister of Education Nenad Suzic at today's conference in Banjaluka on the occasion of representing of a modern learning programme of English language. At the press-conference were also talking a representative of the Cambridge University Press for central and eastern Europe Juliet Evans and representative of the Cambridge for RS and FB&H Lydia Bertoncelj.

BRCKO - The Executive Board of the Brcko Municipal Assembly reached an agreement on increasing of employees in the Municipal administration in order to avoid further dismissals of Serb workers, it has been stated for SRNA. According to the agreement the Municipal Assembly will have 154 employees of which 43% of jobs will belong to Croats and Bosniacs.

BANJALUKA - The State Commission for exchange of war prisoners and missing persons in RS identified three more bodies of Serb soldiers, exhumed from a mass grave Aprazlije near Livno. The identified are: Dusan (Vukasin) Susnjica,1949, member of 9th Grahovo brigade, Zeljko, (Dusan) Solak, 1963, member of 5th Glamoc brigade and Dragan (Kosta) Latinovic,1954, member of Petrovac brigade of the RS Army (VRS).

BANJALUKA - The Serbian Coalition for RS (SKRS) which includes the Serbian Party of Krajina and Posavina (SSKiP), the Serbian Patriotic Party (SPAS), the Democratic-Patriotic Party (DPS) and the RS People's Party issued in Banjaluka names of all first on the lists on the general elections in September. The SKRS President Predrag Lazarevic said at the press- conference that candidates for the RS President and vice-president were Mihajlo Crnadak (SPAS) and Branka Latinovic (SSKIP) and for the B&H Presidency member Zoran Tadic (DPS).

PRISTINA - Head of the Kosmet region Veljko Odalovic expressed discontent after meeting with a delegation of the American Congress because of meeting between Richard Holbrooke and Robert Gelbard and members of the so called Kosovo Liberation Army. According to him that is not the way for solving the situation but a support for terroristic gangs. The state institutions will work in interest of citizens and in accordance with its Constitutional authorisations, and will do everything on stamping out of terroristic actions.

SRPSKA KOSTAJNICA - With help of the international donations in Srpska Kostajnica the Primary School "Petar Mecava" is under a reconstruction project. Financial help amounting to 174,000 DM is provided by the USAID. Another project is related to reconstruction of the Palijin Jarak-Pobrdjani- Balj road, local grave yard and arranging city parks. It is about public works financed by the UNDP valued at 134,000 DM and it should be finished in August.
