    [01] House President - Health - Progress

    London, Feb 14 (CNA) -- Cyprus House of Representatives President Spyros Kyprianou was said to be comfortable and in "good spirits" yesterday, a day after an operation to face an unstable sternum, a complication that often arises after open heart surgery and his doctor said he was pleased with his progress.

    Speaking to the press at St. Mary's Hospital in London, where Kyprianou underwent the operation, Dr Rex Stambridge said the House President was transferred to his own room, he was eating and drinking, he sat on a chair and had a "reasonably good day".

    [02] Road accident - Death-roll rises

    Nicosia, Feb 14 (CNA) -- A woman from the Philippines died here yesterday of her injuries rising the death-roll of a tragic accident two weeks ago to eight.

    [03] Cyprus - Lithuania - Agreements

    Nicosia, Feb 14 (CNA) -- Cyprus and Lithuania will sign here tomorrow cooperation agreements in the fields of international road transport and merchant shipping.

    The agreements will be signed by Cyprus' Communications and Works Minister Averof Neophytou and Lithuanian Minister of Transport Rimantas Didziokas, who is on a two-day visit to Cyprus.

    [04] President Clerides - British High Commissioner

    Nicosia, Feb 14 (CNA) - British officials will visit Cyprus to discuss developments in the Cyprus problem in view of the third round of UN-led talks due to he held in May in New York.

    Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides received today British High Commissioner in Nicosia Edward Clay. They had their first "substantive conversation" since the conclusion of the second round of UN-led proximity talks in Geneva earlier this month, Clay said afterwards.
