    Nicosia, May 29 (CNA) -- According to the Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport, the weather forecast for Cyprus is:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 30/05/2000 to 31/05/2000

    Mostly sunny the weather with light to moderate breezes and with the temperature fluctuating between 17C and 30C.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday 01/06/2000 to 02/06/2000

    Continuing sunny with light to moderate breezes and with the temperature fluctuating between 18C and 31C max. Sea temperature: 21 C

    Cyprus Ambassador - Croatian President - Credentials

    Nicosia, May 29 (CNA) -- A solution to the Cyprus problem should be based on the independence of the Republic of Cyprus and the territorial integrity of the country, said Croatian President Sjepan Mesic.

    He was speaking during the presentation of the credentials of Cyprus's new ambassador to Croatia, Nicos Makris, who is based in Austria.

    Commerce Minister - Marinas

    Nicosia, May 29 (CNA) -- Cyprus Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister, Nicos Rolandis, today announced the construction of six marinas, of a total capacity of four thousand vessels, which will begin operating in Cyprus by the end of the year 2002.

    Speaking at a press conference, Rolandis said that the plenary session of the House of Representatives passed the special regulations for the marinas last Thursday and that international tenders would be requested by Autumn, adding that the marinas would be built with the method of self funding and will cost around 100 million pounds. (one Cyprus pounds = 1.6 US dollars)
