    Minister of Justice - Cuba

    Nicosia, Nov 13 (CNA) - Cyprus Minister of Justice and Public Order Nikos Koshis departed today for Cuba, where he will pay an official visit at his Cuban counterpart's invitation.

    In Cuba, the two Ministers will sign a bilateral agreement of cooperation to combat the illegal transport of medicinal drugs and psychotropic substances.

    Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Nov 13 (CNA) - According to the Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport, the weather forecast for Cyprus is:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 14/11/2000 to 15/11/2000

    The weather on Tuesday will be mainly fine with some local clouds. Winds will be northeast, 3 to 4 and locally 5 beaufort, over slight to moderate seas.

    Maximum temperatures will range from 16 degrees, over the highest peaks of Troodos, to 26 degrees over the main plain areas.

    During the night, the weather will be fine. Winds will be northeast, 2 to 3 beaufort, over slight to locally moderate seas.

    Minimum temperatures will drop down to 10 degrees over the highest peaks of Troodos and to 13 degrees along coastal areas.

    On Wednesday the weather will be mainly fine with local clouds.

    Winds will be northeast, 3 to 4 beaufort, over slight to moderate seas.

    Maximum temperatures are not expected to significantly change.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 16/11/2000 to 17/11/2000

    The weather will be mainly fine with local clouds mostly over mountains during the afternoon. Temperatures will not significantly change.

    [04] House President - Athens - Meetings

    Nicosia, Nov 13 (CNA) - Cyprus House of Representatives President Spyros Kyprianou today discussed the latest developments in the Cyprus question in the light of the UN effort for a settlement, as well as the Republic's European Union accession course, with Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis and his Greek counterpart Apostolos Kaklamanis.

    Kyprianou, who is in Athens to exchange views on these issues with the Greek leadership, told reporters that "the Turkish side is never satisfied and has not abandoned its intransigent policy", according to the Athens News Agency. CNA/MA/RG/2000
