    [01] Social Democrats - Central Committee resigns

    Nicosia, Jun 11 (CNA) - The members of the Central Committee of the Movement of Social Democrats (KISOS) resigned during a 12-hour meeting yesterday, leading the party towards a congress, on July 22, to elect new leadership.

    Speaking after the marathon meeting last night, KISOS President Vassos Lyssarides said he would not be running for the Movement's top office at the congress, but would remain involved. CNA/RG/GP/2001

    Nicosia, Jun 11 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 12/06/2001 to 13/06/2001

    The weather will be fine. The wind will be moderate, blowing from the nortwest. The sea will be mostly slight and locally, during midday, up to moderate. Temperatures will range from 20 to 39 degrees inland and from 20 to 34 degrees on the coast.

    Outlook for Thurday and Friday: 14/06/2001 to 15/06/2001

    Fine weather with moderate westerly winds. No temperature change.
