AKEL celebrates 75 years of struggles
Nicosia, Feb 3 (CNA) - With a congress in Nicosia, attended by members
from all over Cyprus and a multitude of guests, left-wing AKEL today
celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Cyprus Communist Party (KKK),
founded on Marxist-Leninist theories in 1920, which was renamed AKEL in
1941. The congress started with songs and a film about the 75 years of
KKK-AKEL, followed by speeches and the approval of a declaration.
