Consultations on Cyprus shift to New York
Nicosia, Feb 1 (CNA) -- As UN Secretary General Kofi Annan ponders his
next move with regard to Cyprus, some of the key players in this long
drawn conflict are gathering in New York this week for consultations.
Kofi Annan's former special adviser on Cyprus Alvaro de Soto, who
brokered the peace deal in El Salvador, and participated in last year's
direct talks on Cyprus is at the UN seat, where he is more than likely
to discuss recent developments with the Secretary General.
