Annan Plan cannot be brought to a referendum as it is, Spokesman says
Nicosia, Dec 21 (CNA) The Annan Plan cannot be brought to a referendum
as it is, Cyprus Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides has said,
adding that at present the conditions for the resumption of efforts to
reach a Cyprus settlement do not seem to exist.

London, Dec 21 (CNA) - British Prime Minister Tony Blair does not
consider the extension of the Ankara Agreement (customs union) to cover
the 10 new EU member states, including Cyprus, a formal legal
recognition of the Republic of Cyprus.
