Cypriot President informed by Greek ministers over Helios air-crash
Athens, Aug 17 (CNA) The governments of Cyprus and Greece have pledged
to shed light on Sunday's air crash of Helios Airways Boeing 737 that
killed all 121 people on board.
At a meeting in Athens, President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos
was informed by Ministers of Interior and Transport over the course of
investigations and everything that happened before and after the crash
at the area of Grammatikos near Athens.
In a statement he expressed satisfaction over the mobilization of the
Greek authorities, their speed and determination and reiterated the
Cypriot government's commitment to fully investigate the tragedy and if
necessary to call experts from abroad to assist in the efforts.
