    Cyprus and Egypt to sign agreement on petroleum exploitation

    Larnaca, Sept 05 (CNA) -- Cyprus Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas left today for Cairo, Egypt, where he will sign a cooperation agreement on petroleum co-exploitation with the Minister of Petroleum of Egypt.

    Speaking at Larnaca airport prior to his departure, Lillikas said that this cooperation will begin in around two months' time. He added that during his stay in Egypt he will sign a memorandum of cooperation on issues of research and technology with Egypt's competent Minister.

    Lillikas will attend Tuesday Egypt's International Tourist Fair and will meet with Egypt's Minister of Tourism.
