    Some 25,000 workers in the construction sector went on a 24-hour strike Tuesday over disagreement with their employers concerning the renewal of the collective agreement.

    The main difference is the employers` demand to discuss the issue of subcontracting construction works.

    The trade unions have warned that they would stage a 48-hour strike in June 27-28, if the employers remain adamant in their demands.
