Right-wing Democratic Rally (DISY) President Nicos Anastasiades and
Deputy President Averof Neophytou were reelected during the partys 12th
Congress.
Anastasiades and Neophytou were elected unopposed to serve these posts
for the next four years.
The party will elect Sunday three Vice Presidents and ten members of
DISY`s Political Bureau.
Addressing the conference Saturday, Anastasiades stressed that DISY was
against Cyprus` division and fights for a solution that would reunite
Cyprus, within the European family of nations.
He said time was a fundamental factor in efforts for a settlement and
that a solution in the long distant future would actually serve
partitionist designs.
