  • [01] HUNGARY - SPEAKER

Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Katalin Szili will pay Cyprus a visit between 9 and 13 October, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation and other officials.

During her visit here, Szili will be received by President of the Republic of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos and President of the House of Representatives Demetris Christofias. She will also hold a series of meetings with members of the Cabinet.

    [02] CYPRUS RALLY

The 2007 Cyprus Rally kicks off next weekend with a ceremonial start in the coastal town of Limassol. It will be taking place on nine gravel stages over two days (October 13th-14th) before finishing in Limassol on Sunday afternoon.

The Rally has long been one of the most eagerly anticipated FIA motorsports events, and for 2007 it is set to be the most exciting yet, because not only is the 2007 Cyprus Rally round 6 of the 2007 FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC), it is also an official round of the 2007 FIA Historic Rally Championship.

Entrants are expected from Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Greece, the UK, Lebanon and Cyprus.
