Cypriot athlete Eleni Artymata has failed to qualify for the 200m
semi-finals of the Beijing Olympic Games. Artymata ranked seventh in
the fourth row with 23.77 for the second round of the 200m, according
to the results presented on the Olympic Games website.
According to the correspondent of the Cyprus Union of Sports Writers in
Beijing Petros Hadjichristodoulou, Andreas Cariolou, competing on
Tuesday in sailing in the RS:X category, did not manage to reach the
10th place, although he succeeded in moving up to the 13th position
from the 16th ranking, among 35 athletes.
Meanwhile, Gavriela Chatzidamianou competing today in women sailing
RS:X category secured the 21st position on the final ranking among 27
athletes.
