Turkey has to decide whether it wishes a solution to the Cyprus problem or not, in order that the efforts for an agreement in the direct negotiations between Cyprus President Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat to be fruitful, House President Marios Garoyian has said.

Addressing an event organized by the occupied village of Kontea, Garoyian said that it seems that Turkey does not wish a solution, since it insists on a confederation state solution.

As he said, without Turkeys will for a solution to the Cyprus problem, based on the UN relevant resolutions, the High Level Agreements and the international and European law, the United Nations will fail again.

Garoyian called on the United Nations to make sure not to add another one failure in their account and to turn their efforts towards Ankara, dealing with determination with Turkeys intransigent stance and divisive plans.
