    Three hundred eighty flights to and from Larnaka airport from and to various European destinations have been affected by the decision of Greek air traffic controllers to work to rule.

    In statements, Hermes Airports PR and Communications Manager said that the situation in Greece continues to affect the flight programme to and from Cyprus airports.

    He added that according to data of Hermes Airports Operation Centre, 386 flights have been affected of which 21 departures and 22 arrivals from and to Larnaka airport have been cancelled. He noted that the rest of the flights are being conducted with delays that last from 45 minutes until a few hours.

    [02] CYPRUS SOUTH AFRICA POLICE COOPERATION

    Cyprus and South Africa have signed a cooperation agreement between their police forces.

    According to an official press release, the agreement, which was signed July 14th in Pretoria, provides for the cooperation between the police services of Cyprus and South Africa in the fields of prevention, combating and crime investigation, including corruption and organised crime, as well as the exchange of information on police matters.

    The agreement was signed by High Commissioner of Cyprus in South Africa Argyros Antoniou and South African Police Minister Emmanuel Nkosinathi Mthethwa.

    [03] BAGHDATIS LA FARMERS CLASSIC

    Cypriot tennis player Marcos Baghdatis will compete in the ATP World Tour 250 Farmers Classic which starts on Monday in Los Angeles.

    The draw for the Farmers Classic placed Marcos at the No. 3 seed and as a result, he qualifies in the second round. In his opening match, Marcos will face either Belgiums Kristof Vliegen or American wild card Ryan Sweeting.
