    The President of the House of the Representatives Marios Garoyan begins on Wednesday an official visit to the Ukrainian capital Kiev, at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Lytvyn.

    Garoyan, accompanied by his wife and a House delegation, arrived at the "Borispol" International Airport of Kiev Tuesday evening.

    Garoyan was received at the airport by Ukrainian officials and the attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Ukraine Evagoras Vryonides, while young girls in traditional costume welcomed the House President, offering bread and salt.

    Garoyan will be received today by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

    According to the official schedule of the visit, Garoyan will have separate meetings with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Lytvyn Volodymyr and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Gryhchenko.

    He will also visit cultural and historical sites, while Lytvyn will host and official banquet to his honour.
