Cyprus Foreign Minister Marcos Kyprianou, who is currently visiting India, will attend the 21st meeting of EU Foreign Ministers and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to take place on April 20 in Abu Dhabi.

An official press release issued here said that during the meeting Cyprus will submit proposals and suggestions aiming at promoting the relation between the EU and GCC, through the implementation of an EU-GCC Joint Action Plan.

During the meeting, participants will exchange views on the cooperation and the relations of EU countries with countries of the Gulf as well as for other political issues of mutual interest, as the peace process in the Middle East and the situation in Iran and Yemen.

They will also discuss issues regarding the protection of human rights, the combating of terrorism and the nuclear weapons non-proliferation. Kyprianou is expected to have separate bilateral meetings with his counterparts of GCC member states.
