    Cyprus President Demetris Christofias arrived yesterday in Ukraine, where he begins on Monday a two-day official visit.

    President Christofias` contacts begin with a visit to the park of Eternal Glory, where he will lay a wreath at the tomb the Unknown Soldier.

    Later on Christofias and his entourage will visit the Ukrainian Presidential Palace where they will be officially welcomed by the Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukocych.

    Christofias and Yanukovich will hold a private meeting followed by official talks with their delegations, at the sidelines of which the two countries will sign agreements and Memorandums of Understanding.

    Following the official talks and the signing ceremony, the two Presidents will hold a joint press conference.

    The Cypriot President will meet with acting Prime Minister Andriy Klyuyev as well as with Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn.

    In the afternoon Christofias will inaugurate the Cypriot Embassy in Kiev.

    President Christofias will also address a Cypriot-Ukrainian Business Forum taking place at the Ukrainian Chmaber of Commerce, at the presence of businesspeople from both countries.

    The Cypriot President will also attend an official dinner hosted by the Ukrainian Head of State.

    In his visit in Ukraine, Christofias is accompanied by his spouse Ersi, Marcos Kyprianou Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonis Paschalides, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou, Presidential Commissioner George Iacovou, Permanent Secretary of the MFA Nicos Aimiliou, the Cypriot Ambassador to Ukraine Evagoras Vryonides and other officials.
