  • [01] Air traffic controllers stage four-hour strike

A total of 20 flights, ten departures and ten arrivals to and from the international airports of Larnaca and Pafos, will be affected by the air controllers` strike which will take place between 1200-1600 local time (1000 – 1400 GMT).

In statements to CNA, Spokesman of the Hermes Airports, Adamos Aspris said that air companies have rescheduled their flight programmes, adding that most flights affected will take place after the strike ends.

Aspris called on passengers to contact the airlines to confirm the new times of departure.

``We hope that by rescheduling our flight programme, we will be able to limit to a great extent the passengers` inconvenience``, he said.

Aspris added that two thousand passengers will be affected by the strike.
