Speaking to the press after the meeting, Sylikiotis said they discussed the prospects of further expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, tourism and investments.

The Cypriot Minister said he briefed the Israeli Foreign Minister on the simplification of procedures to attract investment in Cyprus and noted that Israeli companies are already operating in Cyprus. On tourism, Sylikiotis said on these issues there is coordination with the competent ministries and the Cyprus Tourism Organization in order to take measures to increase the tourist flow between the two countries

[02] Spokesman: Cyprus fully respects places of worship of Turkish Cypriots

The Government of Cyprus rejects and denounces Turkish Cypriot side's attempt to politicize fire that was set to the Haji Ibrahim Aga mosque, in Limassol, Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou underlined on Tuesday.

Stephanou said that the fire was set intentionally in the early hours of Great Saturday, destroying the mosque's wooden roof and causing damage to the external walls.

According to the Spokesman the place was inspected by officers of the Department of Antiquities who have assessed that the damages caused are not of archaeological significance and works for their reparation have already begun. The police have been given clear instructions to fully investigate the incident and find the perpetrators, he added.
