[01] House President calls on people to support local products
House of Representatives President Yiannakis Omirou has called on people
to support local produce.
Addressing an Exhibition of Cyprus Traditional Produce entitled "I'm
local…buy me", Omirou extended his warm congratulations to the 30
communities of Western Nicosia, Marathasa, Pitsilia and Solea, which have
joined their efforts in a creative way resulting a successful promotion
of Cyprus local and traditional produce.
In times of crisis and of a limitless globalization your initiative is
an act of patriotic duty but also of defending our agricultural economy,
he added.
[02] Buses running again in Nicosia and Limassol
A bus strike, which started in the beginning of the week in Nicosia and
Limassol has come to an end as of Saturday morning.
Bus drivers decided to accept a mediation proposal submitted by Minister
of Communications and Works Efthymios Flourentzou.
Bus services started running regularly as of 11.45 on Saturday morning.
