[01] Eurogroup President: Our aim is a bailout deal with Cyprus in March
Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem said that the aim of the Eurozone
is to reach an agreement on a Cyprus bailout in March.
In statements in Brussels before the Eurozone meeting, Dijsselbloem
referred to the new Cypriot government, saying that "it is a government
with which we can cooperate".
The aim, he added, is to reach an agreement on a Cyprus' bailout in March,
adding that the agreement will provide for the stabilization of Cyprus
and the Eurozone as well.
[02] Archbishop Chrysostomos pays courtesy visit to President Anastasiades
Archbishop of the Church of Cyprus Chrysostomos II paid a courtesy visit
to Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, at the Presidential Palace in
Nicosia, wishing him success. It was their first meeting since President
Anastasiades' election last month.
After the visit, the Archbishop stated that his concern was the country
to move forward and added that he wished the President success, in order
for the country and the people to get out of the economic deadlock.
Asked about the topic of the discussion, Archbishop Chrysostomos said
that he paid a courtesy visit to the President and wished him well.
