developments [01] Knesset Speaker: Relations with Cyprus not dependent on political developmentsRelations between Israel and Cyprus do not depend on any political developments, the Speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein said after a meeting in Jerusalem with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, pointing out that bilateral ties are to serve the two countries and their people.President Anastasiades assured the Speaker of the Knesset that Israel can consider Cyprus as its most reliable neighbout. "It is important for us to welcome the first citizen of the Republic of Cyprus to the Knesset. [02] President Anastasiades continues meetings in IsraelPresident of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades continues his meetings in Israel on Tuesday, in the context of his three-day working visit to the country.In the morning, President Anastasiades will meet with Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III, at the Jerusalem Patriarchate, and will attend a working lunch hosted in his honour by Israeli President Shimon Peres. President Anastasiades and the Cypriot delegation will then travel to Tel Aviv, where the President will address a Business Forum organised by the Israeli Chamber of Commerce and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. [04] Consumer Price Index in Cyprus shows decreaseThe Consumer Price Index for April 2013 decreased by 0,58 units or 0,48% to 119,69 units compared to 120,27 in March 2013.According to an official press release, "this is mainly due to decreases in the prices of electricity, certain fresh vegetables, petroleum products and rents".
