[01] Cyprus offers Venezuela humanitarian aid
Cyprus has offered Venezuela humanitarian aid amounting to 20 thousand US
dollars to help it tackle the consequences of the catastrophic floods that
hit Venezuela last December.
Cyprus' ambassador to Mexico Mr.Antonis Toumazis, also accredited to
Caracas, gave the aid to Venezuela's charge d' affaires Ms Teresa Aponte
last Friday,according to an officcial an official announcement issued
yesterday.
Aponte expressed the gratitude of her government and the people of
Venezuela for this help, noting it will contribute towards the further
strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.
She said Cyprus' aid will be used to rebuild areas hit by the floods.
