    [01] Denktash meets British High Commissioner According to BIRLIK (10.1.01), Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash met

    yesterday with British High Commissioner to Cyprus Edward Clay.

    Denktash/s advisors, so-called presidential undersecretary Olgun and the so- called presidential director for political affairs Mustafa Evran were also present at the meeting.

    No statement was made to the press about the meeting.

    [02] Talat visits Tekoglu YENIDUZEN (10.1.01) reports that the leader of the Republican Turkish Party

    (CTP) Mehmet Ali Talat visited yesterday Turkish Cypriot Omer Tekoglu, who was arrested for drug trafficking and is being held in custody in the free areas of Cyprus pending trial.

    [03] Lecture on Cyprus According to KIBRIS (10.1.01) Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash/s advisor

    Ergun Olgun will give a lecture tomorrow on ``The latest developments of the Cyprus problem'' at the ``International Cyprus University''.
