Zarros) Athens News Agency Bulletin, August 20, 1993 ============================================ Athens, 20/8/1993 (ANA): Foreign Under-secretary Virginia Tsouderou yesterday chaired a meeting of foreign and national economy ministry officials to discuss implementation of bilateral economic co-operation agreements with Russia. The meeting focused on bilateral co-operation in developing the Krasnodar region in southern Russia. It was also attended by former Cyprus president George Vassiliou and representatives of the Hellenic Industrial Development Bank (ETBA), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEA), the Federation of Greek Industries (SEB) and other trade groups. Athens, 20/8/1993 (ANA): The playwright and screenwriter Dusan Covacevic is scheduled to arrive in Athens on August 24. Mr. Covacevic, who lives and works in Belgrade, will hold a press conference in Athens to discuss the film adaptation of his work, "Once there was a country", to be directed by Emir Koustourica. A collection of his plays are due to be published in Greek translation by Estia. Athens, 20/8/1993 (ANA): Greece's special envoy to the Skopje talks, Ambassador George Papoulias, yesterday departed Athens for United Nations headquarters in New York to meet with the Secretary General's special representative, Cyrus Vance. Mr. Papoulias is scheduled to meet with Mr. Vance on Sunday. The UN Secretary General's special representative began a round of talks on august 13 aimed at resolving the differences between Skopje and Greece within the framework of UN Security Council Resolution 845. He has already met with officials from the former Yugoslav republic. Mr. Vance is also expected to visit Athens and Skopje at the end of the month for talks with the heads of both governments but sources close to him hinted that he may cancel the visit if no progress is noted in his preliminary consultations in New York.
