  • [01] Athens municipality honours Mother's Day

Hundreds of children and their mothers gathered at the National Garden in downtown Athens on Sunday morning, where the daycare centers run by the Athens municipality organised a celebration on the occasion of Mother's Day.

Children painted cards and gave flowers to their mothers, as the city's philharmonic orchestra played in the background.

The event was attended by Athens Mayor Theodoros Bechrakis, deputy mayors and municipal councillors.
