    The founding conference of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) Youth Network for Africa and the Middle East continued in Pretoria, South Africa, on Friday, second day of the meeting.

    The problems faced by the overseas Greeks within the framework of the societies they live in but also the youthsā concerns for the present and the future were discussed by a group of 35 young participants.

    Discussion focused on the teaching of the Greek language in the countries they live in, the more effective communication between the youth and ways to deal with the problems.

    In a message to the delegates, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Theodoros Kassimis stressed that ?the Greek language and Greek civilization is recognized, appreciated and spread throughout the world.?

    On his part, SAE president Stefanos Tamvakis said that ?through the World Council of Hellenes Abroad, we aim at the organization of a dynamic, creative youth who will represent and convey the positions and visions of the young generation.?

    The conferenceās sessions will conclude on Saturday with a debate on Greeceās national issues.
